I'm a little confused because I thought 教 was a 4th (falling) tone, just like 叫 is also a fourth tone. But I see on the video subtitles that 教 is shown as a first (high level) tone. Is there a reason for this? Sorry if I just missed the explanation. Is it because of context? Like would it be a falling tone for the noun phrase 教授？
