Ok, paper and pen. What exactly do you do then? Writing the same character a hole page?

But how do the Chinese do? I I know that Chinese children do a lot of hard work, when they start school to learn as many characters as quick as possible by writing and repeating hundreds of characters down in a notebook. But is that method convenient to a foreigner?

Then there are also programs like Skritter, but that takes like forever and it's very expensive as well. But are you saying that you don't necessarily have to study a lot, as long as you make sure to be relatively surrounded by Chinese, the characters will slowly take place in your memory anyway?

I'm very concerned how I am gonna learn the characters. Right after I get them presented I forget them so fast! What method is most efficient to learn as many 汉字 as possible? What is the most common way to do?

I find it quite tricky to separate shēngrì, sìyuè and sānrì. I think I should practice some more pinyin.
