August 6, 2011 at 5:24 PMYarajeev, I wonder what the Chinese equivalent of the English language style guides would be. (Though I am not it too much of a hurry to find out -- might be many years before I would endeavor to read it.)
I suspect that the "rules" for proper Chinese punctuation are out there, but (just like in English) people only refer to them when they do writing for a living, e.g. journalists and editors.
The on-line editions of some American English style guides are below. (Haven't looked for the British equivalent.) They require a subscription. The Chicago manual of style website offers a free 30 day trial.
