May 4, 2022 at 8:05 AM我在香港的空港和琉球的大學見到了"洗手間" 和 "請沖水"。The Chinese word that's for escalator is one of these three words - 自動樓梯 (zìdòng lóutī - literally meaning, automatic stairs or staircase), 自動扶梯 (zìdòng fútī - literally meaning, automatic, ladder or staircase) or 電動扶梯 (diàndòng fútī - literally meaning, electric powered ladder or staircase). I also have a question - does 處 (chǔ) have the same word usage as 所? 🤔

May 4, 2022 at 6:44 AMWhile I see one Japanese katakana character (キ) and three Chinese hànzì characters (一，二，三) in the simplified Chinese 车 character, I also think the traditional 車 Chinese either looks like a bird's eye view of a four-horse drawn battle or ceremonial carriage. 🤔

May 4, 2022 at 5:27 AMI have two questions. In an online dictionary, I've also searched the literal character meaning of 晚 which means late, 水 which means liquid and 見 which means to appear (as something) or to interview - are these other literal character's meanings correct? Does 晚 have the same word usage as 遲到 and does 見 have the same word usage as 樣 (yáng - appearance, way, manner, shape, pattern)? 🤔

May 4, 2022 at 4:42 AM我最喜歡的飲料之一是粉柠檬汽水 (fěn níngméngqìshuǐ - pink lemonade). If you noticed, I typed traditional Chinese characters. The reason for that is I like to see every small Chinese hànzì, Japanese kanji (and oftentimes katakana) characters that appear in both an entire Chinese hànzì or Japanese kanji character. I also have two questions - are 暑 (shǔ - hot, heat) and 涼 (liáng - cold, cool) also used for items such as drinks? 🤔

May 4, 2022 at 11:58 PMI have a question about the Chinese 飯 character - I've heard it pronounced interchangeably as fan and fun many times. I'm confused as to which Chinese sound to say - am I supposed to say it more like fan or fun? 🤔
