November 3, 2008 at 2:42 AMJust to let everyone know. you too can receive the benefit of xiaohu's expertise, live and in person, every monday night. we meet outside the ABC cafe on garfield ave. in montery park, ca. 7pm.
I have to agree that just listening without a clue what you are listening for is a waste. when i first started learning chinese i would listen to am1300 for hours and not understand a word. as time went by and i studied with cd's, books, tv shows, movies, ect. i was able to pick out more and more. then i found cpod and really made progress.
Come join us monday nights, we have a great time.
