I did notice that Zero to Hero for HSK 6 was out. I glanced at the preview, and I might get around to it someday. Unfortunately I seem rather pressed for time these days, and made the decision to cut back on direct HSK 6 prep so that I don't put my ChinesePod study schedule in jeopardy. I realized I was in trouble when I told one of my teachers, "I'm starting to hate studying Chinese."

This is a "Media" lesson, meaning that it comes directly from a source intended for native speakers. It has not been re-written to make it easier for Chinese learners, which means it's a level above "Advanced."

The purpose of "Media" lessons is to help a learner "graduate" from ChinesePod by transitioning to learning Chinese directly from Chinese media sources.

The downloadable Pinyin charts for Mac and Windows seem to be long gone, but the online version, which is actually more extensive, is available here. There are also iOS and Android versions. The old Mac version is posted on Google Drive here, but I unfortunately don't know of a place to get the old Windows version.

I didn't encounter 差 or 刻 that often in the Mainland, but I did encounter them, so they are indeed useful to learn. With this being a very low-level Newbie lesson with an already overly packed Supplementary Vocabulary list, it is better to tackle those terms elsewhere. The AllSet Learning Grammar Wiki puts those terms at A2, which would mean "Elementary" on ChinesePod.

In the Mainland, I learned 星期二 in class. Then, outside of class, one of my teachers tried to arrange something with me, using the term 周二, and I had no idea what he was talking about!
