Hello Gerhard!

I'm sorry for the late reply, and thank you for the feedback!

Going back to your question, 得 is used to describe an action, and the structure goes like this: Verb.+ 得 + description

For separable verbs with a VO compound, you have to duplicate the main verb. In this case, 说中文 is a VO compound: 说 (V.) + 中文 (Obj.)

Therefore, to express 'I speak Chinese very well', you should say 我说中文说得很好 (S. + VO + V. + 得 + description).

Let's use another verb 写字, which is also a VO compound. So you can say, 他写字写得很好 ‘He writes very well.’

If it's a verb and no object, you don't need to duplicate it. For example, 他吃得很多. 'He eats a lot.'

Hope this helps!

Hello, I'm sorry to hear your frustration, but as of now we don't have the traditional character version of this series yet. The good thing is that you can always change your character preference to "traditional" in the lesson setting. I hope this series is still helpful for you although it's in simplified characters, thank you for your feedback!

Hello,

I'm sorry that this is not on Skritter. However, on the new dashboard, under the vocabulary tab, you can see the stroke animation of all the characters in vocabulary. I hope this helps, let me know if you can't find it!

Hello,

Yes that's right! The colors represent the stroke orders. You can start with the darkest stroke, and move on the lightest ones. Keep in mind of the basic directions when writing Chinese characters, which is from left to right, and from top to bottom!
