Is the 过 here for emphasis? If omitted would the sentence still make sense?

你去年因为超速收到了三张罚单。你甚至因为闯红灯收到过一张罚单.

What is the difference between using 了 and 过 in the above sentences?

In the expansion, 少去次酒吧. I am interested in the use of 次 here. Would it result in a different meaning if the 次 was omitted?

In this expansion sentence: 我劝你少抽点儿烟吧. I saw another comment say that only certain verbs can be separated in this way. Is there a way to know which verbs can be separated and which can't or is it just a case of learning on a verb by verb basis?

Would this be correct: 我劝你多锻点儿炼吧。

Hi. Could someone just explain in a bit more detail about the difference between the first tone and fourth tone shou characters please and when they are used? I think the fourth tone shou is 受 which can also mean to receive/accept as well so not sure when this one would be used instead. Thanks!

What is the significance of it saying 面前 instead of 前面？Does 面前 have more of the meaning of standing in front of someones face hence 面 coming first?

Can you explain why you would say 我长得很高 rather than just saying 我很高? Would that not be correct?

For the sentence 你现在点心吃得这么多,等一下饭怎么吃得下。Can you explain the use of the 下 at the end?

就 was used in a couple of the example sentences. Can you confirm I understand the usage of this correctly please? e.g. 我在面包店， 买了面包就回家。Is this use of jiu here to show that once the first action is completed (buying bread) your next action will be to return home - the 'then' in the English sentence?

If you used the yi....jiu structure instead

e.g. 我在面包店。我一买面包，就回家。

I am at the bakery. As soon as I buy bread, I will return home.

So would you use this structure instead of le if you wanted to emphasise the sequence of events more?
