我几个月前也开始看郭敬明的小时代1.0, 但觉得没意思。我比较喜欢韩寒作品和他的博客 http://blog.sina.com.cn/twocol。 他写的杂文挺有意思。

Hi josankapo, I can recommend you do. Lilac is my teacher and our weekly calls really help me improve my spoken Chinese. I think it's quite natural to discuss your private life in such calls as it's where I draw most of my practice sentences from. So besides Lilac, thanks to my 5 year old who, unknowingly, provides me with raw material to improve my Chinese :-)

I have to concur with that. I am not a big poster myself, but am really happy with this series. Even though I don't have anything with Shanghai (frankly speaking: I don't particularly like the city it's too postmodern for my liking), I do enjoy getting these insights in other Chinese languages.

I am really looking forward to the Hokkien lessons. I have not been able to find good (online or off-line) resources on 闽南话, besides the occasional Taiwanese drama series with usually include some arguing in the local language.

Great idea! 闽南话 would be very interesting for me personally (to understand the in-laws) but it is a completely different language from Mandarin (as is Cantonese). Perhaps better stick to Sichuanese or which at least is a Mandarin dialect?
