I know danshi means "but", for example I think it can be used for this: wo yao chi fan dan shi wo mang si le (I like to eat but I am too busy). How do you use keshi, and can you describe the use of haishi again? I've seen it before. Thanks.

haishi还是 always being used in a "question sentence".e.g.A haishi还是 B? You have to choose one.

keshi可是 always has the same meaning as danshi但是.(when means "but")

但是always being used with 虽然。

虽然……但是……

keshi has another meaning when when used to discribe something unexpected.

e.g.你想进去玩吗?这儿可是要收钱的。(Do you want to come in? However it is not for free.)

I dont know whether you can understand me or not.
