Of course, many words can be used as both (as in English), making things all the more confusing. In this lesson, a student and a teacher get grammatical about the word 管理 (guǎnlǐ).

guǎnlǐ ”kěyǐ zuò dòngcí ，yě kěyǐ zuò míngcí 。
"Guanli" can be a verb; it can also be a noun.
那怎么区别呢？
nà zěnme qūbié ne ？
Then how do you tell the difference?
要看它做什么句子成分。
yào kàn tā zuò shénme jùzichéngfèn 。
You need to look at its role in the sentence.
