|to see eye to eye on things
xīnnián jiàqī yǒumeiyǒu chènjī lǚxíng yī tāng ？dōu shuō “dú wàn juǎn shū bùrú xíng wàn lǐ lù ”，shì ba ？
Did you take advantage of the New Year's holiday to go travelling? They do say "travelling 10,000 miles is better than reading 10,000 books", no?
hēhē ，méiyǒu zhīshi lěijī de qiántí xià ，xíng wàn lǐ lù yě bùguò shì gè yóuchāi bàle 。
Ha ha, if you haven't accumulated any knowledge, then travelling 10,000 miles means you're nothing more than a postal worker.
āi ！hé nǐ jiǎnghuà zhēn shì huà bù tóujī bàn jù duō ，yóuchāi zěnmele ？xíng wàn lǐ lù de yóuchāi yě bǐ yī gè dú le shèngxiánshū quèbù dǒngde rénqíng shìgù de suānwénrén qiáng 。
Agh! We really can't see eye to eye on much. What's wrong with postal workers? They would also be better off after travelling 10,000 miles than being fusty old scholars who have read the classics but don't understand the ways of the world.
huà kě bùnéng zhèmeshuō ā ，“cānglǐn shí ér zhī lǐjié ，yīshí zú ér zhī róngrǔ ”。wùzhì tiáojiàn fēngpèi le ，jiù yīnggāi kāishǐ péiyǎng zhīshi wénhuà sùzhì ，guāngshì huì huāqián mǎi jīpiào yǒu shá yìyì ？
I don't really think that's fair. The saying goes, "It's only when the granary is full that you can come to understand etiquette, and when you have food to eat and clothes on your back that you know the difference between honor and shame." When you have abundant material resources, you should start to accumulate wisdom, become civilized and more classy. Just having the money to buy airplane tickets doesn't mean anything.
Each lesson is centered around a natural dialogue with key vocabulary directly prepared and translated for your use. You can also listen to each sentence as an individual recording to improve your listening and comprehension skills.
