介意:因为心里不舒服或者是不高兴而一直记得或注意。
jièyì :yīnwèi xīnli bù shūfu huò zhě shì bù gāoxìng ér yīzhí jìde huò zhùyì 。
to take offense: when you feel uncomfortable or unhappy and you keep thinking or paying attention to something.
在意:因为觉得重要,所以放在心里,常常注意。
zàiyì :yīnwèi juéde zhòngyào ,suǒyǐ fàng zài xīnli ,chángcháng zhùyì 。
to mind: to keep thinking about something and paying attention to something because you think it is important
你男朋友很在意你,所以才会介意别的男生跟你聊天、说话。
nǐ nán péngyou hěn zàiyì nǐ ,suǒyǐ cáihuì jièyì biéde nánshēng gēn nǐ liáotiān 、shuōhuà 。
You boyfriend really cares about you, so that's why he minds when other guys talk to you.
我很介意别人说我胖。(让我心里不舒服、不高兴)
wǒ hěn jièyì biérén shuō wǒ pàng 。(ràng wǒ xīnli bù shūfu 、bù gāoxìng )
I really take offense/mind when people call me fat. (I get upset and unhappy)
