Did you see the book that I left on the table? I don't know who took it?
我中午的时候还看到在桌上。是不是被你妹妹拿去看了？她不是今天早上回来了？
wǒ zhōngwǔ de shíhou hái kàndào zài zhuō shàng 。shìbushì bèi nǐ mèimei náqù kàn le ？tā bùshì jīntiān zǎoshang huílai le ？
I saw that it was still on the table at noon. Did you sister borrow it? Wasn't she supposed to get back this morning?
不可能，她早上发短信给我说她的班机取消了，所以得多留一天。
bù kěnéng ，tā zǎoshang fā duǎnxìn gěi wǒ shuō tā de bānjī qǔxiāo le ，suǒyǐ děi duō liú yītiān 。
That's impossible. She sent me a text this morning saying that her flight was cancelled. She has to stay an extra day.
也就是说，今天这个房子里只有你和我。
yějiùshìshuō ，jīntiān zhè ge fángzi lǐ zhǐyǒu nǐ hé wǒ 。
So that means, there's only you and me in the house today.
