zài liáokuò de fēizhōu dàlù shàng ，liútǎng zhe sān tiáo wěidà de héliú 。tāmen shì wèiyú fēizhōu dōngbù yǔ běibù de Níluóhé ，zhōngfēidìqū de Gāngguǒ hé ，yǐjí xīfēi dìqū de Nírìěr hé 。
On the vast continent of Africa, three mighty rivers flow. In Eastern and Northern Africa lies the Nile; in Central Africa, the Congo; and in Western Africa, the Niger.
尼罗河也被称为世界第一长河。全长6670公里。流经坦桑尼亚、卢旺达、乌干达、埃塞俄比亚、苏丹和埃及等国，穿过世界上面积最大的撒哈拉沙漠，最后流入地中海。流域面积为335万平方公里，相当于非洲大陆面积的九分之一。

The Nile has also been called the world's longest river, at some 6670 kilometers in length. It flows through the countries of Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypt, passing through the Sahara Desert - the largest by area in the world, and finally flowing into the Mediterranean Sea. Its watershed covers 3,350,000 square kilometers, equal to 1/9th of the surface of the African Continent.

The Nile floods every year. When flood waters arrive, they cover the fields on both banks of the river. When the flood waters recede, they leave a layer of thick river mud, resulting in fertile soil.
