According to a reporter's undercover investigation, pharmacies in Shanghai are legally required to only sell antibiotics with a doctor's prescription. Returning the right to prescribe antibiotics to doctors will work to reduce the increasingly serious drug-resistant effects of antibiotic abuse.

It's true. The last time I had a cold, I went to the pharmacy to buy some antibiotics, but they said I needed a prescription. In the end, I went to the hospital and the doctor refused to give me any, saying I didn't need them.

Before, as soon as I went to the hospital with a cold they'd put me on an IV. Now the government regulates it very strictly. However, this is a good thing. The dangers of abusing antibiotics are very serious. Regular bacteria that continue to grow more resistant to drugs can become super bugs, and then no medicines can treat them.
