Following a placement test, students complete one hundred required study units, and a further fifty elective units in a designated level. Each level's grammar and vocabulary is correlated with day-to-day use and standardized exams in Chinese. After completing all required lessons, students either choose to take the level test, or expand their scope and sharpen their skills by engaging in different topics that are geared to their level.
