everybody i ask is telling me zhi3 jin1 - i asked very often - because just like ken said in the lesson - i never remember it... i always got the same answer.

i also hear it from neighbour tables from time to time. seems to be common (live in guangzhou - so it might not count fully :) )

also nice is that the uncomfortable feeling also seems to be present in the other way - for chinese using a sitdown toilet.

i was visiting a chinese factury in dongguan. they had a sit down toilet - and above it was as forbidden sign that showed someone squatting ON that toilet.

i was laughing quite hard - till i was on a plane from china southern - where i could see shoe prints on the tiny airplane toilet :)

it's more common than you might think - in singapore i also found a comic on thetoilet of botanic garden. it was a reminder to keep the bathroom clean. it also shows footprints on the sit down toilet :)

i like the lesson by the way. it's a good way of learning - great addition to my classes!
