The singer is Wu Bai.  You can pick up his stuff on Itunes,  Just search Wu Bai or Wu Bai and China Blue. The song is called, in English, "lighting a cigarette"

The issue is really one of the marketplace. If people in the West were willing to pay higher prices for products then manufacturers could afford higher costs.  Therefore this is not driven by producers but by the consumer. One could, for instance refuse to buy goods that somehow upset their sensibilities.  A case in point is when the people of the EU refused to buy Canadian fish products in protest to the Canadian seal hunt. the canadian Government did, at that time, shut it down in response.  It has since revived it as the fish stocks became depleted.

The consumer actually is very powerful in this regard.

I have factories in Canada, USA, Mexico and of course China. The goverment in Canada provides excellent benefits for it's citizens.  In the other countries we try to replicate these through private insurance companies.
