I live in Melbourne Australia where the greater Chinese population is from the south and or from Hong Kong. I have found the zh' r' sh' x' sounds very different from the North China sounds. But I have heard Southeners talking to Northeners without any problems in communication. Just my thoughts. Go Jenny, you're very easy to listen to.
