Taxi is also referred to as 的士 (di2shi4) .. likely from the English transliteration.
出租車 (chu1zu1che1) sounds like rental car to me .. which I admit is what a taxi is .. but I'm more thinking of those cars you rent to drive yourself ..
Anyone know which area within China uses which term?
