great lesson :-)
i love duck, when i was in beijing in 2002, i went to an old restaurant tucked away in some alleyway someplace and it was just mindblowingly good.
for those watching their diet (cholesterol) I was originally told duck wasn't great but apparently it has high HDL cholesterol which fights the LDL (bad) cholesterol. so its all good! :)
so...now you have no excuse to eat duck! :)

great lesson. interesting to hear peoples comments on ways to politely refuse a drink. i have an intolerance to gluten/wheat which is in beer. But I can drink spirits... so for me i would be more interested in how to say "sorry i have an allergy, but i'd drink a vodka or Rice wine!"
(actually maybe would be great to see a lesson on how to discuss medical conditions / allergies ...)

Ken&Ken Great work. I'm still playing in the newbie end of the chinese pool, but I'm really enjoying your lessons. This one was a very useful one, as I work for a Taiwanese company and I feel confident making some passing-by corridor smalltalk to my chinese colleagues. Thanks again.
