shenjayin

When I saw the "to" I thought it was the beginning of a verb definition - that is "to give". Sorry for not looking at the lesson more closely before posting.

Cpod, just letting you know that in the Vocab section, the definition for 给 is incomplete.

Matt,

The problem seems to have fixed itself. It was occurring on the dialog page too - it wasn't just repeated lines of conversation - there were 4 lines of identical dialog when a line was echoed by the second person in the conversation. Anyway, I'll let you know if I see it again.

Regarding my other post, I can see now how it could be interpreted as me suggesting someone should answer them. I'm not sure if this is how you interpreted it, but it wasn't meant to be read that way. I find these posts frustrating, but wanted to see if anyone actually responds to them, before having a whinge. Seems as though you are already trying to deal with the issue.

There seems to be a lot of requests like this from Chinese people wanting to learn English. Does anyone here actually answer them?

To me it seems that the character for 'well-behaved' shows a man opening out his trench-coat to expose a pair of machine-guns. It's just occured to me I should try to memorise characters under the influence of pot - maybe then I would see things in the characters I'd never seen before - it might help me remember them.

Is it only me who sees double when looking at the Dialog, Vocabulary and Expansion sections of this lesson? Every line is repeated. I have seen this in other lessons too.

Thanks Pete.

Perhaps you should answer luolina27's question on the same sentence. I would jump in, but I can't remember the term for these types of characters.

In the expansion sentence

他女朋友长什么样? (Tā nǚpéngyou zhăng shénmeyàng?) What does his girlfriend look like?

I thought it would have been 他女朋友长什么样.

Could someone explain?

Cpod, a slight error. In the expansion sentences (simplified characters) your second heading (嗎) is the traditional character for 吗. Its probably not good to have an error in what is nominally the very first lesson.

Cpod. A slight error to be fixed. In the Expansion sentences, the last 2 headings (in red) are misplaced.
