Yes 'kaka' is a nickname but if you stress the first vowel and not the second, in Portuguese slang, it means 'shit' which is certainly a different 'nickname'. In fact, some Chinese TV presenters seem to be struggling with the pronunciation. I wonder if they know what they are saying.

This was a great lesson but I have a request:
can you use pinyin in the discussion so that everybody can follow up on the comments posted here?

I totally agree with weibwo regarding the usage of PINYIN along with the characters and I have said this before as well but noone seemed to pay attention. Some of us need the PINYIN. Please make sure this community is for all and not just for those who can write HANZI.

I reaaly think this is not wise to have such a policy when all the lessons, even the advanced, have pinyin. Besides, some people only study Chinese through pinyin and this would definetly represent a loss for this website. Please revise this policy and make all comments available in pinyin. It does not break the free flow of Chinese, only the written channel is affected, not the language medium itself.
