Like, when I have something I'm really excited about sharing with that person, I might start a conversation with "guess what?! blah blah blah"...

April 10, 2010, 04:54 AMThanks! It feels odd to me to use 爷爷, so I'm glad for the alternative 先生. That's a good question about whether it's used between elderly people themselves. It kind of reminds me of how I hear married couples in the US call one another "mom" and "dad" sometimes. :)
