I have a question about the definition of "讲"in the sentence, "孙悟空这个人物本身就是最精彩的，幽默、聪明、而且特别讲义气."
I see this usage of "讲" a lot these days, especially in public service notices in the city: "讲文明."
Based on my understanding of "讲," I assume it means "to emphasize" or "to be attentive to," as in the above example: let's pay attention to civility... or let's emphasize civility.
I think my confusion stems from the way most non-native speakers learn the word "讲": first we learn that it means "talk," or "speak." So in our heads, that's all it means. Then we see it in a sign or a dialogue, as in "讲文明" or "讲义气" and it confuses us.
Any native speakers' input would be very appreciated!
