Can you help clarify a bit? When you say you can't download lessons, do you mean your RSS feed isn't working, or do you mean the downloads aren't completing?

There are two ways to download files. We'll start with the most basic, which is to right click on the blue lesson file and click "Save Target As..."
RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication, allows you to automatically download a string of lessons. On your dashboard, there is a small cog/gear icon. When you click on that, it will bring you to the Subscription Settings page.
On that page, there will be three orange squares with radio waves inside. That is the symbol for RSS. The addresses beside the boxes are the URL which carries the information for your feed.
If you copy the feed address (most likely the "Self-Study" feed) you can then paste it into a client that can read RSS. For our purposes, the best option is iTunes.
Click on the Advanced tab, select Subscribe to Podcast, and then paste the feed URL in the box. This will create a Podcast feed in iTunes which can automatically download lesson files.
I hope this clears everything up!

I have a question about Self-Study on the iPhone - I am subscribed (on the main site) to 2 levels, where all lessons get marked as active.
However, when I go into the iPhone app, under Self-Study I get a different list, with levels ranging from Newbie to Intermediate.
How can I get the iPhone to synch? Update doesn't help, there is nothing under Options, and no Settings entry for ChinesePod.
