Jenny, your remark about the 嗯 is VERY important. I know many people who are not aware that these little sounds can have completely different meanings in different cultures. So a Chinese may want to express agreement and the western person understands "maybe", "don't know" or even "Who cares?" - and then may be frustrated. Of course we PODies have heard you using this "ng" or "m" many times. :-)

For me, the most interesting point in this lesson is not the internet stuff. It's the difference between "n" and "ng"! (In wan and wang.) Is that not quite hard for Shanghainese? Very well done Jenny! ;-)
